I had to knit the biggest size. Lots of work with not-so-exciting yarn. My mom knitted the same item for my oldest son Scott, but that was 13 years ago! His 2 younger brothers also enjoyed this suit.

modification: the hat was too short, so I added the braided edge
made for: any member of my family who gets a twinkle in their eyes when I mention the name Jacques Cousteau
Very fast project, instant fun. The braided edge that I added afterwards was the best part. I picked up the stitches and knitted it onto the hat.
The only way I made it through this one was....thinking about the recipient!

The owner was so pleased with the yarn; it reminds him of Norwegian patterns (thank you Opal). In stead of a purled gusset, I made it in garter stitch. The cuffs are gigantic; no yarn was left at all.
